BAMS Admission

What is the full form of BAMS?


Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medicine and Surgery is the full acronym for BAMS. The study of the integrated traditional ayurvedic system and modern medicine is the focus of the BAMS degree program, which lasts five and a half years. The course lasts 4.5 academic years, after which there is a one-year internship requirement.


    Eligibility criteria


    Candidates for the BAMS course must have passed their 12th grade biology exam with at least 45 to 50 percent marks from a recognized board.


    Admission to BAMS is managed centrally and is determined by the NEET score obtained.


    Biology, physics, and chemistry are required 12th-grade courses for candidates.

    BAMS Admission process




    • Admission to BAMS is based on the National Eligibility Cum Entrance Test (NEET).
    • This examination is now mandatory for admission to many medical courses, including BAMS.
    • After scores are obtained in the NEET, there will be centrally controlled counselling that will decide your location of the college based on your scores
    • Colleges may then perform a personal interview round to evaluate the students further
